“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5

Commit: to give into one’s keeping, to surrender into the protection of another animate or inanimate object the possession I once laid hold of…to place confidence in the ability of someone else to perform a keeping better than my own. A surrender and letting go of what I hold value in (personal definition from thought).

Rarely have I found it unnecessary to “commit and trust” to the Lord. The difficulty is my inability to trust it in His keeping. The hands that try to pull it back only bring pain and destruction to the precious treasure I have laid in the Savior’s hands. At times, when I grow impatient, it seems the thing of His keeping is placed far beyond my reach, and forever stayed and not coming back. But it is not true, I must learn patience in the safe keeping of this gift. God wants me to cherish his treasure and bless me with it in ways beyond my

own dream’s or desires….but He will keep it safe until it is completely surrendered to His care and then with gentleness He will place it before me  [but I dare not touch until I seek my Savior and He instructs me in it's use and intricate working that make it a beautiful treasure worth keeping]. It is now maintained by the Master and me.

We share in the work together and I trust His voice even before He speaks. The other treasures I have laid aside, I now gently place before Him. I cannot trust myself to keep them in order; I need the Master Planner to teach me to acknowledge Him in all my ways. This, I am learning and am blessed that He cares for me so and is patient beyond measure!
