“As always with God, we receive more than we give,

and we become more than we are.”

I remember being petrified to “surrender” to the Lord…or in essence, yield my life and all that I had to his control. Yet, a godly man reminded me, “All that you give to the Lord, he replaces with eternal riches. And all that you keep from Him, He takes anyways.” As I read in my devotional yesterday, I came across this quote and its truth rang forth in my heart. Yes. God is the giver of every good gift. Why fear? Why not turn over the wood, hay, and stubble of our lives to Him? It is through this humility, this yielding of self, that He can come and make us more than we are in and of ourselves…and a great deal more at that!
